This weekend, I gave my last conference of the year and I was able to end this tour at the Annual Forum of the Lifesaving Society - Quebec Division.

It's been a year and a half now that I've been traveling around Quebec to raise awareness about skin cancer, among outdoor workers, and at certain private events. It's always a huge privilege to carry this essential message 🙌.

Each meeting reminds me how essential it is to properly inform and equip these professionals exposed daily to UV rays.

Skin cancer is the #1 occupational cancer in Canada‼️ and yet 90% preventable. Very few cancers can boast of being 90% preventable…

After my second diagnosis, I promised myself that I would raise awareness about the dangers of UV rays. The documentary was a first step, but the conferences are by far the most effective. They allow me to reach young people directly and adapt my message in real time.

Most of the time, I present to young people aged 15 to 21, and the results are tangible. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the impact you can have on a community as important as that of young lifeguards, who spend their days at the beach and are often victims of the tanning trend. Helping them become aware of the risks makes all the difference. By taking the necessary measures to protect themselves, they in turn become ambassadors and naturally raise awareness.

This weekend, I presented to aquatic center managers from all over Quebec, and it was a real success, with great meetings and new teams to raise awareness starting next spring.

I am grateful to all the organizations and individuals who have welcomed me throughout this adventure. Thank you for your trust. Together, we are taking another step towards better prevention and collective awareness 🌍.

This is just the beginning! Looking forward to continuing to share this mission and collaborate for a future where sun protection is a priority for all ☀️

Would you also like to raise awareness among your teams about the importance of protecting the skin from UV rays? I invite you to contact us to find out about availability. Looking forward to raising awareness on a larger scale!!
