May 29th was a big day for our founder Marie-Eve, since it was the launch of her documentary Doc.UV which aims to raise awareness about the dangers of UV rays. An evening that was highly anticipated!
Did you know that skin cancer is the most common form of cancer, although most of them are preventable?
More than 80,000 new cases of skin cancer
are diagnosed each year in Canada. That’s more than breast, lung, prostate and colon cancers combined, but we don’t hear much about it.
It is to inform and raise awareness among the general public that KRABĒO and Coalition Priorité Cancer are organizing the Skin Cancer Prevention Awareness Evening, a benefit event as part of Skin Cancer Awareness Month.
During this evening, the documentary by Marie-Ève Richard, a survivor who has made it her life's mission that no one else suffers from this type of cancer, will be presented. A true cry from the heart, the documentary aims to explain, raise awareness and educate families about skin cancer. A new collection of clothing designed to provide sun protection, Krabéo UV, will also be presented.
This event was held on Monday, May 29, 2023 at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT).
Many people were expected at this event, which was attended by public and political figures, people from the industry and specialists to raise awareness of the risks of skin cancer.
It was a success!!
The documentary will be released soon, we are waiting for the rest. To be continued....
